- What are the advantages and disadvantages of sketching wireframes over wireframe software?
- Write a paragraph on which type of wireframing style would work best with your project and why.
Wireframes are advantages because they help make changes more efficient; assist the designer in blueprinting their design process; helps plan the websites responsiveness. Wireframing in its basic form is the rough draft that can be as complex or simplistic as the designer wishes. Despite all the advantages, there can be some disadvantages to wireframing such as: too complex of a design, getting stuck on minute details, and design limitations.
While I personally prefer a sketching approach to wireframing, I believe my semester project will benefit from a wireframe software or presentation software. Using wireframe software would help me plan the proper coding methods I will need to implement to make sure the UI of my website is functional. On the other hand, presentation software would help me brainstorm the preliminary layout of my website. Both are beneficial for different stages of my website design process.
